Jose Ramirez

Currently, I serve as the President of the Georgia Gang Investigators Association and I serve as a member of the National Alliance of Gang Investigators Association, IOMGIA and SCGIA. I have 23 years of law enforcement experience with a majority of my time having been spent investigating and studying gangs.  I previously served with the Savannah Chatham Metro Police Department as a Patrol Officer, Crime Suppression Unit Officer, Robbery Detective, a Homicide Detective and a Gang Detective. Using professional and lived experiences, I have extensive knowledge of training law enforcement officers in prevention, intervention and suppression of criminal street gangs.  I bring qualified and skilled knowledge for helping school administration, staff, school resources officers and superintendents  assess school safety policies and practices within the schools.  I have also served as an expert witness in several criminal cases, helping bring justice to those that have been effected by criminal street gang activity and crimes.
